Combining 30 years of business experience as an entrepreneur and investor,with my natural ability to listen and then find solutions to business problems, I enjoy being faced with the challenges that today's difficult business envrionment throws at us.
Background.
Youngest of 6 children, brought up a small-holding in Somerset. Educated at a convent then a local college. Qualified as a Training Manager, then with the Institute of Personnel & Management. Owner, partner and shareholder in 3 businesses spanning over 30 years ranging from catering, health and online business community.
How do I define ‘success’?
I think success is synonymous with happiness rather than with affluence. It's only when you find satisfaction with what you're doing and don't dread facing every new day, that you are really successful.
What is my greatest achievement?
Building an online community of 70,000 entrepreneurs.
What has been my biggest obstacle, and how did I overcome it?
Being a single parent trying to be successful in a predominantly male orientated business society. Overcome purely by sheer hard work and determination.
Who inspires me?
People who help others and still manage to make money!
